By the way, I think you forgot your sunglasses last time we met in South Pole. You could have them back, but only if you told me how to make broomsticks fly. I answered to you, re-uploaded the package, got contacted by another member of your team, answered him, and then nothing happened for three monthes. Thanks for accepting the pacakge. Problem: make-jpkg usage to compile 'server-jre-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz'
I have compiled & installed the pakages below that I downloaded directly from Oracle; jdk-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz jre-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz However when I try to compile this one: server-jre-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz I get a message saying it can not find the matching plugin & the compilation aborts; Any tips or ideas: I am using make-jpkg to compile these into ".deb" packages then installing with dpkg. BTW: sorry about the cross post to dev, but I'm not sure where the address this. Thanks John -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I did not checked whether xbmc would be compliant to Debian Multimedia policy. My statement was written under the assumption that the package is following usual Debian standards which for sure contains the upstream source. If this is not the case what about asking Bálint to follow the Debian Multimedia policy when packaging xbmc and adopt the result of this. (In case I'm repeating something which was discussed before a link to this discussion.) Re: Problem: make-jpkg usage to compile 'server-jre-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz'
Hi John, Java questions are best suited to the debian-java list. The server JRE is supported by java-package 0.53. It's available in the backports if you are running Wheezy. Alternatively you can simply rename the file to jre-7u45-linux-x64.tar.gz and then run make-jpkg.
