Bug#718018: ITP: haskell-swish -- semantic web toolkit
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Jonas Smedegaard * Package name: haskell-swish Version : 0.9.0.3 Upstream Author : Douglas Burke * URL : https://bitbucket.org/doug_burke/swish/wiki/Home * License : GPL-2+~Swish Programming Lang: Haskell Description : semantic web toolkit Swish is a framework for performing deductions in RDF data using a variety of techniques. Swish is conceived as a toolkit for experimenting with RDF inference, and for implementing stand-alone RDF file processors (usable in similar style to CWM, but with a view to being extensible in declarative style through added Haskell function and data value declarations). It explores Haskell as "a scripting language for the Semantic Web". . Swish is a work-in-progress, and currently incorporates: . * Turtle, Notation3 and NTriples input and output. The N3 support is incomplete (no handling of @forAll). * RDF graph isomorphism testing and merging. * Display of differences between RDF graphs. * Inference operations in forward chaining, backward chaining and proof-checking modes. * Simple Horn-style rule implementations, extendable through variable binding modifiers and filters. * Class restriction rule implementation, primarily for datatype inferences. * RDF formal semantics entailment rule implementation. * Complete, ready-to-run, command-line and script-driven programs. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bridge burning
Hello, I just spotted this on the Debian forum: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=105456 As you can see, someone (who is obviously new to Linux) came and asked a perfectly valid question, and had their thread locked despite them not breaking any rules. This shouldn't have happened. Debian is a community driven operating system and the more people that use/contribute to it, the better it will become. Shooting down peoples posts because *oh this question is always asked* should not happen. Whilst others may have participated in many similar topics, the 'noob' question is always going to be asked - its a natural question, especially in a distro-world. Shooting down someone who is showing interest in Debian is a great way to burn bridges and prevent Debian from prospering. This arrogance needs to stop. Bug#718037: ITP: neutron -- OpenStack virtual networking: a rename for Quantum
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Thomas Goirand * Package name: neutron Version : 2013.2~b2-1 Upstream Author : OpenStack Development Mailing List * URL : http://www.openstack.org/ * License : Apache-2.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : OpenStack virtual networking: a rename for Quantum Neutron provides an API to dynamically request and configure virtual networks. These networks connect "interfaces" from other OpenStack services (such as vNICs from Nova VMs). The Neutron API supports extensions to provide advanced network capabilities, including QoS, ACLs, and network monitoring. This ITP ack the fact that Quantum has been renamed as Neutron because of a trademark issue. This is currently being taken care of in Debian too.
