First, Boost is already being used. Second, you'd work on this upstream. Olaf -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? I know that it was chosen for the best reasons: http://wiki.debian.org/PkgExim4UserFAQ#TheusernameDebian-.24PACKAGEistoolong.3Aitmisalignslsoutputandistruncatedbypsandatop.Andit.27sugly.21 but IMO the only good thing to say about the 'Debian-' prefix is that it's sufficiently disgusting[1] that no sane unix admin could conceivably have such a user present on their systems prior to exim excreting it there. Please let's not decide it's a de facto standard -- we could always try fixing the lack of a standard in policy. I'd not come across the underscore (_) prefix idea before -- I much prefer that. Cheers, Phil. But I would like to see a more important discussion about the problem that is tried to be solved and the advantage/disadvantage against other classical tools (lib-config script and pkg-config files for example). In particular, how this would work with multi-arch ? I did not analyzed in details this proposition (auto-linking) but, for now, I'm not at all confident that this would be a good move. Someone is running a script that is hammering the DB from alioth. The script is running from cron, and there are currently 8 instances running, bringing UDD to its knees.
