Bug#536477: ITP: cdash -- An open source, web-based software testing server.
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Mathieu Malaterre * Package name: cdash Version : 1.4.2 Upstream Author : Julien Jomier * URL : http://www.cdash.org/ * License : BSD Programming Lang: PHP, XSL Description : An open source, web-based software testing server. CDash aggregates, analyzes and displays the results of software testing processes submitted from clients located around the world. Developers depend on CDash to convey the state of a software system, and to continually improve its quality. CDash is a part of a larger software process that integrates Kitware's CMake, CTest, and CPack tools, as well as other external packages used to design, manage and maintain large-scale software systems. Good examples of a CDash are the CMake quality dashboard and the VTK quality dashboard. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable'), (200, 'testing'), (100, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Michael Prokop * Package name: xmount Version : 0.3.1 Upstream Author : Gillen Daniel * URL : https://www.pinguin.lu/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : tool to crossmount between multiple input and output image files xmount allows you to convert on-the-fly between multiple input and output image types. xmount creates a virtual file system using FUSE (Filesystem in Userspace) that contains a virtual representation of the input image. The virtual representation can be in raw DD or in VirtualBox's virtual disk file format. Input images can be raw DD or EWF (Expert Witness Compression Format). In addition, xmount also supports virtual write access to the output files that is redirected to a cache file. This makes it for example possible to use VirtualBox to boot an OS contained in a read-only EWF image. regards, -mika- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". As said by Klaus, that would have a size limitation, however. Bug#536551: ITP: libcoro-perl -- the only real threads in perl
Package: wnpp Owner: Jonathan Yu Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org * Package name: libcoro-perl Version : 5.151 Upstream Author : (information incomplete) * URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Coro/ * License : Artistic | GPL-1+ Programming Lang: Perl Description : the only real threads in perl Coro collection manages continuations in general, most often in the form of cooperative threads (also called coros, or simply "coro" in the documentation). They are similar to kernel threads but don't (in general) run in parallel at the same time even on SMP machines. The specific flavor of thread offered by this module also guarantees you that it will not switch between threads unless necessary, at easily-identified points in your program, so locking and parallel access are rarely an issue, making thread programming much safer and easier than using other thread models. . Unlike the so-called "Perl threads" (which are not actually real threads but only the windows process emulation ported to unix, and as such act as processes), Coro provides a full shared address space, which makes communication between threads very easy. And Coro's threads are fast, too: disabling the Windows process emulation code in your perl and using Coro can easily result in a two to four times speed increase for your programs. A parallel matrix multiplication benchmark runs over 300 times faster on a single core than perl's pseudo-threads on a quad core using all four cores. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
