Bug#498046: ITP: qorganizer -- featured lightweight graphical organizer

2008-09-06 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: "Eugene V. Lyubimkin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

* Package name: qorganizer
  Version : 3.1.3
  Upstream Author : Balázs Béla <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL : http://sf.net/projects/qorganizer
* License : GPLv2
  Programming Lang: C++
Description : featured lightweight graphical organizer

qOrganizer is a general organizer that includes a calendar with
schedule, reminders, journal/notes for every day, to-do list.
 .
It also has couple of additional features:
  - innovative interface designed to be clear and simple
  - automatic saving of all data
  - loud reminders
  - a rich text journal for everyday in which you can even drag and drop
images
  - searching through every entry in the journal and in the schedules
  - a clear and simple to-do list (general one, not for every day)
  - a flexible timetable for students which even supports different
content for
odd and even weeks (this is used by universities)
  - a student booklet in which the user can keep track of the marks he
gets in
school, it even calculates averages and stores the date when the
mark was
given; it also can contain absences
  - an ability to print any page (the calendar, the to-do list, the
timetable
and the booklet are separate pages)
  - the ability to choose the storing mode: text files, sqlite database
or
MySQL database over the network
  - the ability to upload the stored data to an FTP server and download
it
  - ability to save between storing modes(so the risk of data loss is
even
lower)

RFH and RFA: [defoma needs work, probably, but is unlikely to go away]

2008-09-06 Thread Osamu Aoki
Hi DDs:

Although libfreetype6 and fontconfig can do most of font management, we
still need standard method to install font packages for Debian.

For lenny, we need functioning defoma for font packagers on stable.
For lenny+1, we may wish to streamline font infrastructure of defoma.

Can someone stand up to maintain defoma to do these 2 things?
See following message on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

defoma really need help.

Apologies for the confusion. A closer look at the situation shows that
defoma should receive major work and someone should adopt it, but
neither the Debian fonts team nor anyone else adopted it so far.

Naturally, if someone chooses to maintain defoma and needs the
libft-perl back bad enough to fix its bugs and pick it up, it can be
reintroduced. That said, I seem to recall (and the defoma RFA bug
supports it to some extend) that defoma really needs some work that
might change it fairly drastically.

Again, sorry for misrepresenting the state of defoma, if it wakes
someone up, the better. :)

Kind regards

T.

Therefore, a solution would be to rewrite those MIB with diffferent
descriptions?

Re: [Fwd: Re: Debian Live Lenny Beta1]

2008-09-06 Thread peter green

I have tried the amd64-version on a Lenovo R61 as well as on my
Macbook. Maybe I should try the i386 on the Macbook because it did
not boot properly and I could not use the keyboard.

someone already reported this (it's a problem with syslinux), but i have
almost no to no hope that this will get fixed; don't have access to
macbook hardware.

Unfortunately I don't think this is a bug in syslinux, I have seen it happen with lilo and with windows CDs as well.
I belive it is a bug in apples compatibility service module. It seems to be somewhat sensitive to the exact boot method.
I haven't tried debian-live but with other CDs I find it usually succeeds if I remove all power from the machine before
starting. Then the hold C key during bootup to boot the CD and then release the C key as soon as I hear the CD drive
spin up. If I boot through rEFIt it always fails.

- Incremental retrieval of multi-valued attributes as per
draft-kashi-incremental-00.txt.
- Serverless binding and server specific binding
- Support for querying the global catalog

   Package name: ncmpcpp
Version: 0.2.2

Description: Ncmpcpp is almost exact clone of ncmpc but it contains some
new features ncmpc doesn't have. It's been also rewritten from scratch in C++.
Lack of some function (eg. tag editor, no possibility of going to chosen
position in playing song without fastforwarding/rewinding) eventually pushed me
to rewrite it as ncmpcpp and include these functions in it.
