Hello, Regarding the wiki page NewInLenny[1] and the possibility to reuse it's content in the Release Notes, I'm wondering what's the actual license that apply to the R.N ? We would have two option to migrate the wiki page license : 1. Ask each contributor to re-license his contribution under license X. 2. Use Vincent's idea, described below, and use [Include(NewInLenny-oldlicense)] to include the old page in the new one (so it remains visible). and content can be move from one page to the other by it's author I am quite interested in the first scheme, as it would be a trial for we can do for the whole wiki. There are too many places where the administrator (or user) needs to enter the proxy configuration. At system install time, you are prompted for the proxy settings, but these settings appear to only be used by apt. It would be nice if there were a global proxy configuration, which every package would use. Incidentally, here is a list of the packages that had to be configured by hand: wget-ssl reportbug konqueror mozilla-browser -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux godot 2.4.18-586tsc #2 Wed Mar 20 20:18:44 EST 2002 i586 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Hi, global proxy configuration works via the http_proxy variable works with most programs, if not, please file seperate bugs against those packages. regards, Holger pgpjvpKwdX9Nt.pgp Description: PGP signature --- End Message ---

Without more information, I would think the "Waited, for gzip but it wasn't there" message meant that gzip wasn't installed. "apt-get install gzip" should have fixed that, should it not? - Lawrence On Wednesday, September 3, 2008 12:51:07 pm Debian Bug Tracking System wrote: > Waited, for gzip but it wasn't there -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
