Bug#492404: (no subject)
Hi I feel sorry for not having answered for so long time. I did a fresh install with Weekly XFCE CD from october 6th. openchrome drivers were loaded - at least from the point of grep openchrome /var/log/Xorg.0.log hermes:/etc/apt# grep openchrome /var/log/Xorg.0.log (II) Matched openchrome from file name openchrome.ids in autoconfig (==) Matched openchrome for the autoconfigured driver (II) LoadModule: "openchrome" (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//openchrome_drv.so (II) Module openchrome: vendor="http://openchrome.org/"; (!!) For support, please refer to http://openchrome.org/. Setting resolution works flawlessly now. By using glxgears it got 98% cpu usage - which is about the same as when using vesa. While I'm disappointed about this (i got higher framerate and way less cpu usage by comilling on my own) you can consider the bug "fixed", as my main problem is solved. If I can contribute anything by testing, mail me. Thank you very much for your packaging work! Mathieu -- kofi2k GMX Download-Spiele: Preizsturz! Bug#492404: configuration problem
I feel sorry not having responded to the bug so long time I will do a fresh install with lenny next week and see if I get better result. Unfortunately this system is less relevant for "productive" things therefore I left it working with vesa... thx Mathieu Original-Nachricht > Datum: Mon, 29 Sep 2008 19:25:26 -0500 > Von: "Raphael Geissert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > An: "Y Giridhar Appaji Nag" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Khalid Shukri" <[EMAIL > PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] > CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Betreff: Bug#492404: configuration problem > Hi, > > 2008/9/29 Y Giridhar Appaji Nag <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > On 08/09/15 10:57 +0200, Khalid Shukri said ... > >> I had the same problem, resolution only up to 800 x 600, until I > >> manually put the VertRefresh and HorizSync values of my monitor in > >> xorg.conf. Bug#492404: Acknowledgement (xserver-xorg-video-openchrome: Resolutions only up to 800x600)
Unfortunately I won't have time for further investigation until this week-end. I will try a fresh install and tell if the problem stays in latest lenny.
