/etc/init.d/postfix start works, stop does not. /usr/sbin/postfix stop
works. error message when running /etc/init.d/postfix stop:

fatal: usage: postfix start (or stop, reload, abort, flush, check,
set-permissions, upgrade-configuration)
failed!
this prevents apt-get from upgrading properly.
this bug is not 382804, because /etc/init.d/postfix equals the file in
the newest packages. yet, the symptoms are the same.
