Bug#303523: (no subject)

2005-04-14 Thread debian-bts
Similar problem here.

I just installed 2.2.2-1. It also ignores /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf
and uses /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf instead...

Thanks,
Hein

I added new configuration parameter LDAPUserPassword.
For example I'm using
LDAPUserPassword ftpPassword (where ftpPassword is an attribute from my
own scheme).

Package: libtool
Version: 1.5.6-6
Followup-For: Bug #261407

I am building software that I have written and have compiled many times before.
I will be honest that it might have been quite a few months since the last
build, but the first thing I ran into was
the stupid need to have --tag=. I went through and added this to my
commands but, now I fail because that --tag stuff isn't getting propogated to
the underlying commands that get run.

skywalker:/tmp/sss/lib/cpp# /bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=install --tag=sss
/usr/bin/install -c libsss_cpp.la /usr/lib/libsss_cpp.la
libtool: ignoring unknown tag sss
libtool: install: warning: relinking `libsss_cpp.la'
(cd /tmp/sss/lib/cpp; /bin/sh ../../libtool  --mode=relink i386-linux-g++ -g
-O2 -Wall -pedantic -o libsss_cpp.la -rpath /usr/lib ssslib_cpp.lo -L.. -lsss
-lexpat )
libtool: link: unable to infer tagged configuration
libtool: link: specify a tag with `--tag'
libtool: install: error: relink `libsss_cpp.la' with the above command before
installing it

If the --tag isn't doing anything, but causing problems then why not just
remove it.

Rick

Now a dpkg -L tinywm lists:
/etc/gdm
/etc/gdm/Sessions
/etc/gdm/Sessions/tinywm

I am not a Debian developer, nor tried to be one, but I think the
problem could be in conffiles/postrm files.
tinywm.conffiles:

Now, what I suspect is happening, dpkg is removing all but the conffiles
content (that would be why /etc/gdm/Sessions still exists?), including
/etc/X11/tinywm, which cannot be then properly purged. test command
returns false, which will be the result of the script, thus the error. I
am not sure of course about this, but please take a look.

i don't know if this is a real bug.

i build myself last sylpheed-claws-gtk2 with --enable-aspell switch.

with the aspell 0.5XX debian package sylpheed-claws-gtk2 works good, but when i
have upgraded aspell to 0.60 sylpheed tells me that it cannot load

i don't know what is it_affix.dat...probably in 0.60 it doesn't exists.

Currently, bootclean.sh uses both "find -exec" and "xargs" when deleting
files and directories. Dince findutils-4.2.3, find has had a -delete
action which we can use to replace both of these. In the general case
this is more secure because it's less exposed to race conditions, but
that's not relevant here. More usefully for us, it avoids us relying on
the existence of xargs, and it's neater. It's also more efficient but
the difference would probably be difficult to measure. Lastly, it's
less vulnerable to problems with very deep directory hierarchies (which
both xargs and -exec would suffer from).

I enclose a patch.

Bug#254355: nut: Comment

2005-07-04 Thread Debian BTS
It appears that one is supposed to copy the files from the
/usr/share/doc/nut/examples directory .
The fact of the matter is you need at least ups.c on upsd,.conf and upsd.users.
files to make it wo rk.

The interface is not started automatically at boot, I start it after
boot with an 'ifup eth0' as root.
Then resolvconf should automatically add the two nameservers to
/etc/resolv.conf, that is a symlink pointing to
/etc/resolvconf/run/resolv.conf but this isn't happening and I have
/etc/resolv.conf empty.
 I am forced to use 'cat /etc/resolvconf-eth0 | resolvconf -a eth0',
where resolvconf-eth0 is file in which I have written the ip of the two
nameservers above, to have resolv.conf correctly set up.

Severity: minor

If you open kmenuedit trying to look for a keyboard shortcut you already set,
you
won't find it. If you set a keyboard shortcut for any menu item, restart
kmenuedit and look for the shortcut, it will show as "None".

Bug#391586: Security: Possible remote-code execution via integer overflow (CVE-2006-4812)

2006-10-07 Thread debian-bts
Package: php5
Version: all
Severity: critical
Tags: security, fixed-upstream

See
http://www.heise-security.co.uk/news/79145
and
http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2006-0708.html

"
An integer overflow was discovered in the PHP memory handling routines. If
a script can cause memory allocation based on untrusted user data, a remote
attacker sending a carefully crafted request could execute arbitrary code
as the 'apache' user. (CVE-2006-4812)
"

and

Fixed upstream:

Old versions of Php4 are possibly also affected.

Benjamin C. Wiley Sittler discovered that Python's repr() function did

Bug#717097: pidgin-otr: if logging is enabled inform chatpartner

2013-07-16 Thread debian-bts
Package: pidgin-otr
Severity: wishlist

Logging is disabled by default which is good. But it is possible to enable
logging in the OTR-Preferences in Pidgin.

It would be good manner to inform the chatpartner, that the secure session is
logged on the other chatpartner side.
