Bug#687694: version incompatibility

2012-10-04 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
Hi,

I'm happy to make whatever changes are necessary to this package, but I'm
not sure what is gained by providing Breaks for every potential package
affected by a bouncycastle upgrade. It seems to me more proper that if
package X depends on bouncycastle = version Y (which appears to be the case
here) that package should then reflect it, rather than putting X number of
Breaks in the bouncycastle package itself and having to expand that list
each time a new package enters the pool that depends upon it.

Best regards,

-Brian

Bug#684453: [pkg-eucalyptus-maintainers] Bug#684453: hand over packaging to debian-java team

2012-08-28 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
Hi Thomas,

We're more than happy to hand over GWT at this point. I was trying to
get all the GWT bindings for guava done before doing so, but I think
I'm at a good place with that now too and should have them packaged by
the end of the week if all goes well.

Chris may be working on this bug:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=685587

We thought we had worked all of those out. Perhaps you can give this
a quick look too if you have the time?

We very much appreciate the debian-java team stepping in here!

Bug#655480: debdiff to enable libxml2

2012-03-13 Thread brian.thoma...@gmail.com
There is a an upstream bug which prevents me from actually fixing the
package in a sane way to allow building with libxml2 rather than
guththila (I reported it upstream and copied you on it), but I have
attached a patch that will allow you to build it for yourself.

Regards,

Brian
