Off-topic:
Cary, why don't you just change the default assignee for gold bugs
to yourself. Would be easier than doing it every time by hand.

Yes, good point! I've been meaning to ask someone how to do that.

[Bug ld/17085] New: Hello world gets bigger with plugin.

2014-06-24 Thread hubicka at gcc dot gnu.org
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17085

Bug ID: 17085
Summary: Hello world gets bigger with plugin.
   Product: binutils
   Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P2
 Component: ld
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: hubicka at gcc dot gnu.org

Compiling C hello word gets into 2072 bytes of stripped binary with -flto
-fuse-linker-plugin, wile it is 1882 with -flto -fno-use-linker-plugin. Seems
to be difference in dyn* and hash* sections.
