[Bug ld/15217] branch-to-arm-from-thumb for typeless symbol is missing a stub
http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=15217 Hans-Peter Nilsson changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |ASSIGNED --- Comment #2 from Hans-Peter Nilsson 2013-03-03 11:52:05 UTC --- (In reply to comment #1) > pretty sure this is Working As Intended and you need to fix your code: > http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2012-03/msg00125.html The Right Thing is to fix the code - but also to fix the linker. Why? The current behavior is a change from 2.21 and is inconsistent with how global symbols are handled locally (in a single file) by the linker; see ld-arm/ fix-arm1176.s. The behavior is allowed but not guaranteed as per the AAELF. I have a patch so I better take the PR. -- Configure bugmail: http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ bug-binutils mailing list bug-binutils@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-binutils
