The NE2000 PCI-module is probing a number of addresses,
make sure that your card is configured for one of those addresses.
This can probably be done with the DOS-program (sorry) you have got
with your card,

Are both disks IDE ?
Are they both on the same controller ?
Which disk is the master, which disk is the slave ?
You can only boot from a master disk.
Set the jumpers right (I hope you still have the documentation for the disks)

Why not add a kind of VIEWPATH environment variable to the install tool.
(like in some compilers) The package that is found first in the list of
directories
will be installed

Printing is to a LaserJet5 (jetdirect with IP-number NPIxx).
I installed magicfilter and ghostscript, adjusted the printcap file

I guess that disaster disk has been made during the installation process,
it tries to jump to the linux on your harddrive.
