The kid sometimes, inadvertently, locks the screen. When this happens,
trying to unlock the screeen by entering the correct (empty) password fails,

libqt4-dev is suddenly missing the QPallete headers (QPallete,
qpallete.h) and now everything dependant on those headers is broken.
This breaks all sorts of Qt4 packages!

q3listview.h is unusable; just trying to include it at all results in
compiler errors. Below is a two line reproduction example.

I use KDE with tranlucencies enabled, and I set the screensaver to black
screen (impossible simpler).
If I manually lock the screen, it is OK.
But it never autostarts due to inactivity

Hi! I'm currently trying to build gnome + webkit without distro-specific
packages. But for this I need "qmake" which is part of libqt4-dev. The problem
is libqt4 is built with -glib enabled. Is there a reaason why qt4-dev needs
glib? And also,

The bug is even worse than I thought at the beginning. Even locking the
screen does not work, because some minutes later the screensaver
"disappears", and to make matters worse you cannot do anything with the
keyboard or mouse. I had to Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
