Hi scrypt users, I've just uploaded a tarball which may be (modulo version number update) release 1.3.3 of the scrypt file encryption utility and key derivation function library.
Please test this, even if all you have time to do is check that it compiles on your platform -- there are some build changes which we'd like to verify on as many platforms as possible. Notable changes since 1.3.2: * The maximum value of the 'p' command-line parameter has been increased. * Improved check for OpenSSL installed via brew on macOS. * Portability and standards compliance fixes. You can download the scrypt code at https://www.tarsnap.com/scrypt/scrypt-1.3.2.99.tgz and the tarball has SHA256 hash 82b8079a362271714e42b876940015e5cfff410a35d1b3b01986dc745f621434 . You can also see the tree from which I rolled this almost-release at https://github.com/Tarsnap/scrypt if you find it useful to crawl through VCS history. Assuming no problems come up, I'll roll the official scrypt 1.3.3 release in about a week. As always, Tarsnap bug bounties apply to issues found in scrypt. -- Colin Percival FreeBSD Deputy Release Engineer & EC2 platform maintainer Founder, Tarsnap | www.tarsnap.com | Online backups for the truly paranoid
