Hi Chip: You mentioned Visual Studio is a steep learning curve, that is a
massive understatement me thinks and I am the biggest supporter of it on
list.
As for developing scripts in general, I believe your package is the best one
out there from the little I understand of it.
Not only does it sound like a killer app but it is free - something I am
getting to appreciate recently looking into alternative screen readers -
sweet features and advantages but sigh you pay dearly for them.
Anyway, you and Rod have done some nice work lately so I thought I would
just touch bases and say hi and congratulations on your recent efforts.

And always Rod, thanks for the kind words, as it's all any of us get for
writing our apps.

If anyone hasn't tried this, I have also included 4 (long) audio tutorials
on how to develop VBScript apps using your VBA development environment built
into your copy of MS Word, along with this app. They cover all the
advantages that come with use of this method, and so all you have to do in
order to first listen to the tutorials is to install the app, and look under
the app's menu item for the audio tutorials choice. You could then decide
if this is something you want to try or not.

It's difficult to say if this app is aimed at the beginner or the advanced
developer, as one of the advantages it gives you is that it automatically
prompts you with all the possible properties or methods you could use each
time you type the dot operator in a command line (so that you don't have to
try and remember, or look up, all of them).

I know it sounds like I'm tooting my own horn here, but I'm really trying to
encourage beginning developers who may find it too daunting to develop an
app because you have to keep track of all the objects with all of their
properties and methods. You of course would get the same assistance if you
developed in .net, but that itself is a steep learning curve.

Hi all,

For anyone using this app to create VBScript apps, there's an update which
contains some enhancements.

* Fixed a bug which could cause an invalid VBA line when importing a
VBScript file.

* * Worked around a WE/Office VBA problem where, if you enabled a
toolbar labeled "edit" in the VBA environment, it would enable a "floating"
window which would often block some of the lines in the code editor such
that WE was unable to read them. I am not sure of the purpose of this
floating window, but I now disable it when the app opens the Word VBA
environment.

* Moved the documentation into an HTML file which should be easier
to navigate.
