Hi: I just repeted the tests with windoweyes shut off, with jaws and then with only narrator. They both worked correctly, no dead spot. I am leaning twoard there being something unique to WindowEyes which either allows this problem or, in fact, is causing the problem. I would test other readers but don't have them on this machine. In the past I have used nvda with no problems but cant really speak to it now but since narrator works, no scripting there, I am guessing the problem unique to WE. I am out of ideas and cant spend more time on this project - too far off and too many variables that can go wrong during testing. I have to get back to work but thanks for your help guys. Perhaps AI Squared will take a look at it some day, they are gurus in this area so might spot something much quicker than I ever could. Later: Rick USA
