It does _not_ tell me "Pattern not found"; it says nothing. When I hit "n",
it will find the next match.... but it doesnt work like that when I'm not in
"split mode"; then it matches right away after doing / <search> .....

The cursor never moves (even if there is a match) after doing / <search> ...
even when there is a match.
