Hello, Here's a little "bug":
1. Click on Search, then Header. 2. Select the three dots near ECO codes: 3. Select Richter Rauzer. You should have everything from B50-59. The "bug" is that the Richter Rauzer starts at B60. The ECO range B50-56 covers quick alternatives: 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. b4 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. Bb5+ 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Qxd4 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. f3 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 http://www.365chess.com/eco/B20-B99_Sicilian_defence Note that B56 is problematic: it covers alternative Black 5th moves AND alternative White 6th moves after 5. Nc3 Nc6. There is absolutely NO reason why I got interested in this specific ECO range... ;-) *** I'm not sure how to correct this. First, this ECO list does not seem to rely on scid.eco. I suppose it's hard coded. Why? Second, I could suggest two ways to correct this: The Classical Variation, which would be B56 or B57 to B69. The Richter Rauzer, which is B60-B69. The two solutions can be good. If I get help to correct this, I will. *** This problem got me thinking: First, would there be a way to personalize these ranges? This would be great to have our own ranges there. Second, would it be possible to search multiple ranges? A repertoire is mostly a set of ECO ranges. I think it would be great to implement these two ideas. While waiting for your feedback, I'll take a look at Scid's code. (I know it's possible to tweak scid.eco.) (That's for another email.) Bye for now, Ben PS: The three dots are strange, btw. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free Next-Gen Firewall Hardware Offer Buy your Sophos next-gen firewall before the end March 2013 and get the hardware for free!
