I guess the bookmarks function doesn't really work out for your case? It
would not hook up with a comment, however.

There is a main issue with hyperlinking as I guess you'd like to have
it: the bookmark function relies on game numbers not to change and
database names/paths not to change. This might be a non-issue for a
temporary link (like a bookmark). Using searches wouldn't work out as
the result might be ambigious if you add games to a database. So it's
difficult to say the least.

On a database, however, where you store a bunch of games you'd prefer a
stable hyperlink. This would have to keep track of db changes like
reordering of records or moving of paths and so on. I do not see how
this should be possible without an URI like system.
