Hi,

Probably off-topic, but just wondering:

I can reach the windows desktop of my test box from my real linux PC
using rdesktop. The windows box (windows 7 pro, 64-bit) is an extremely
fast i7, with lots of memory etc.

What I am suffering is that I absolutely cannot do anything in scid's
GUI as soon as I start the (stockfish) engine. Without the engine it is
"just bad".

Using the windows box locally, scid's GUI runs fine as expected.

I did not notice this performance thing yet using other (chess) programs.

Is rdesktop sort of unfriendly to the tcl GUI operations? Can I improve
this using particular rdesktop options?

Thanks,
Joost.
