Hm, you may be right here that they should be non-free in
the GPL sense. Same goes for DGTs announcement files whilch
would be equally suitable.

Nalimov code is not GPL. This is the reason why e.g. all
Scid builds from the Debian distribution do NOT support
Nalimov bases, egtb code is explicitly removed there.
