The cache Tree associates a position / side to move with moves and stats. So
it should not display impossible moves (for the least). Could you give more
details about your configuration : fast/ slow mode, appears after sorting a
base, etc ?
More over I'd like to know if this is reproducible with oldest versions of
Scid (I never encountered this bug in Tree myself).
Did you move your data from one computer to another (with different CPUs,
like Power vs x86) ?

By the way I wonder if the slow / fast mode is of any interest : shouldn't
it be simplified to come back to the classical slow mode only ? With 2 GB of
RAM the slow mode is fast enough making the fast mode useless.
