Did you check Scid's email manager ? (Tools-> email manager)
I personaly never used it. My german is not really good, but what I see 
in mailchess will not be easily developed in a multi-platform way. There 
are features that are really specific to the OS (mail handling on Linux, 
windows, and certainly MacOS for example).
