== Description: ==
A suite of supplementary macros, a supplementary driver program, and
supporting documentation, for use with GNU roff. This suite comprises:--
- The pdfmark.tmac macro package, for GNU roff.
- Several additional, complementary GNU roff macro packages.
- The pdfroff Bourne shell GNU roff program driver script.
- An autonomously generated user manual, in PDF format.
- Supplementary manual page documentation.
This software suite provides facilities for typesetting of PDF documents,
particularly those which incorporate active reference links, using GNU roff as
the typesetting engine.

Any operating system with a Bourne-compatible shell.

Only one "media" file is included; this is artwork/gnu.eps, which originates
from the GNU roff project, and is itself a GPLv3 licensed project.
== Other Comments: ==
Originally distributed as a contributed component of GNU roff itself, several
years ago it was agreed, by the component author and other GNU roff
developers, that groff-pdfmark would benefit from separate development.
At the time of this agreement, a mercurial repository was established on
OSDN.net. Unfortunately, OSDN.net is no longer a viable hosting provider for
free software, and groff-pdfmark needs to find a new home.
