I also renamed the default branch from 'master' to 'main'.
FYI, from looking around the web, Git 1.8.5 (released in 2013) and
newer versions should always handle the non-'master' name correctly,
as sent by (Savannah's git) server, and older Git versions should also
be able to get the branch name right for the most part (cf. [0]).
