Thank heavens somebody finally replied to the annoying requests for complete
and full documentation with
working code for already finished research projects....

I've probably spent $400 to $500 in books on RS-232C alone in the last 15
yrs. (slow learner?)

Come on bonehead, go to the library. I know for a fact that the Buffalo and
Erie County Library (yes, Buffalo, New York) has several RS-232 books (like
"Programming Serial I/O Ports in C" on their shelves just waiting to be
looked at. You can borrow them thru interlibrary loan. I know because I had
the pleasure of comparing their programming library to my own (theirs was
better for Wintel, but not for Linux).
Two things this guy obviously doesn't know....

1. It's not polite to shout (capital letters are shouting).
2. It's embarassing to be obvously clueless.

BTW, anybody see the picture of the guy that designed the MITS Altair on the
front of Sunday's New York Times business section? Kinda neat to see the
Allied catalog and the EITD on the shelf in the background. The four tall
skinny books are from the Time-Life series on Aviation, of which I have two.
If my library has some of the same books as he, may I one-day be a computer
pioneer? Maybe so, maybe not.....

Just my $0.02
