I think so - I'm also encountering the same problem (with file lists
only in the dozens, but when nothing really needs to be transferred) and
have had to explicitly account for it in my backup processing.

I'll try out the fix in my environment and if I can get it out to the
machines before this month's backup cycles start it should get a good
workout.  Last month, I had about 600 out of about 1400 executions
exit this way.
