The symptoms you're describing are almost always caused by missing
files in the jail.  I can't really say what files are required on
solaris 10 since I have no access to such a machine and haven't tested
it there, but if you're you have all the necessary files, and the
helper binary is SUID, I'm not really sure what else could cause that
problem.  Perhaps some other Solaris users can offer some help.
