Ack. There could be devils in the details of course, but in that case the
principle does sound sane and meaningful to rpm. This is pretty much the kind
of scenario the alt-digest was added for in the first place.
I'm off to a vacation after today and wont be back before August so *I* wont be
looking at it anytime soon, and our PR queue is quite the pile, but maybe add
pointers to the prototype here?
