In the days before the Data Modeler add-in, Rose's DDL capability was
implemented using a Rose Script. If someone out there still has that
script, that would be a way for you to go. I don't have it; all my Roses
are the latest shipping version, or versions yet to come.

Is there a way to directly generate a ddl from a class diagram(all classes
tagged persistent)rather than going through the data modeler add-in and
first creating a schema.
