Hi Stepan,

ldd /usr/bin/gnome-ring | grep protobuf returned :

libmirprotobuf.so.3 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmirprotobuf.so.3
(0x00007fc9141d8000)
libprotobuf-lite.so.9 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libprotobuf-lite.so.9
(0x00007fc913da1000)
libprotobuf.so.10 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libprotobuf.so.10
(0x00007fc90fafd000)

apt-get dist-upgrade
       => I was up to date.

But I solved my problem after removing libprotobuf-lite9v5 and the
dependancy *xmir *that used this version of library. xmir comes with unity8
and I had previously installed this unity 8 just to test, and removed now.
But, maybe ring won''t work with unity 8 ?

Greg
