I had the wrong DNS numbers typed in. "When in doubt, check the air in the
tires."

I copied those numbers straight out of dial-up networking in Win95! Don't
know how it works with them, but it does. Anyway, I was able to access the
web, with Netscape/Redhat, and get/send Netscape mail also.

The Netscape browser is unusable at the moment, because of the color system
conflicts. I ran Xconfigurator again, but couldn't figure out how to change
the color depth/resolution, BUT, I'll keep trying <grin>. Originally, I
specified an "Alliance ProMotion" video card, which is what I have, but it
always wound up giving me a totally blank/grey screen when I ran X. So I
specified an "Unlisted" card, and it loaded X with a very bright blue
screen. Just a bit of fiddling will get it right eventually.

I'm also trying to access my "A" drive from within Redhat, so that I can
copy a "Maxwell" word processor install program. Thus far unable to access
it, but the fun continues.

I really am enjoying this - I've come a lot farther with Linux during this,
my first weekend of installation/use, than I ever thought I would. It's a
pretty decent hobby - I think that I'll eventually be using Linux
exclusively, but for now, I'll rely on Win95 for my main system <grin>.

Thanks Again!

Chip Rose.
