The primary reason I joined this thread is that I remember an older report in bugzilla about similar issues with KDE: someone reported that loading iptables would slow down KDE. I was suprised to see such a topic on this list. I haven't experienced anything like that before, and I couldn't explain it. What does your set of rules look like? When your rules are loaded, does the CPU start burning a lot of cycles in system space? Anything you can track down with "procinfo" or a graphical tool like "xosview"? Instead of flushing all rules at once, you should be able to add/remove individual rules one by one and find out when the problem appears/disappears. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+B1QP0iMVcrivHFQRAoLsAJ0awjtHXNzxxK0MUY37FujRrgXQgACfe/SG u2IF1u9X+UMUSMr2XxGWeVY= =rPXe -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
