Well, the message means exactly what is printed on the screen. The
checksum of the package didn't match. Nothing further. The installer
cannot know whether the reason is bad media, bad RAM or otherwise
unstable hardware. However, that the CDs passed the media check
whereas using the CDs resulted in errors was an indication of a
hardware problem.
