Hi! I am new to this list. Everytime I try to record (using gnome-sound-recorder) the application gets stuck and on doing dmesg on a console this is what I get: Solo1: Can't start recording DDMA Mask bit is stuck at 1. My linux is RH8.0 but I have got this message earlier with RH7.1 too. I checked this out with a google search and I believe the source file esssolo1.c has been changed to fix this. (RH 8.0 ships with the newer source). Why do I get this error. And KDE complains of CPU overload on start up. Every now and then it freezes while performing some operation and then unfreezes to display this message Any pointers? Thanks in advance Pramathesh
