There is a new version with at least some of your (Ben's) great suggestions implemented. I tried to comment the file a little better and cleaned up some potential problems with spaces in file names, begining dir probably a few other things. the biggie is that the starting dir is not passed via the -d option anymore but as the first (and only right now) non-option argument.
The nomd5 is a huge help in time used as is nodeps that I found in the man page too. the combination reduced the elapsed time by greater than 50%. I could not see a big difference in the -noscripts and it looks like there were only 2 packages that had files in /etc that had verifyscripts If folks find this useful, I may work on the todos I entered in the comments. As always comments/critique welcome. I have not done much coding for public consumption.before. the file is in the same place: http://www.elevating.com/bret/fcf.pl Bret PS does anyone know what I need to do to get the webserver to display the file in a readable format? If I use inpect bod in mozilla it looks great. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
