This is Sun's way of Shrink-wrap-licenses. You should go back to the sun page where you got it and read the linux instructions. It tells you everything you need to know. the .bin file can be run by doing sh ./jre*rpm.bin it will prompt you with a license which you are supposed to read and type "ACCEPT" then it will unshar the rpm that you can install. BTW, I tried this jre with recent mozilla (1.2) under 8.0 and 7.3 and found out that there may be some library incompatabilities with the SUN jre and Mozilla post 1.1 it works for some things but not for others.
