I have installed the soundblaster drivers correctly for my Creative SB Audigy soundcard, however my computer is still not playing sound and when i run modprobe i get a load of error messages returned along the lines of this device cannot be detected. (If i run modprobe as root everything is ok).
Is there a way to get linux to start using this new driver instead of the old one? Any help from people with experience of this driver would be appreciated.
