I have to tell you that there have been so many changes to so many
things that you could probably spend until RHL10.2 is released trying to
get your head aound it all.

I mean we are talking what is the diffence between a 55 chevy and a new
vette here. They both have wheels, steering, brakes, motors but all of
them have been enhanced.

I started pretty serioulsy with redhat about the 5.1-2 time frame after
killing myself with I think 4.5 ( was there a 4.5?) off the top of my
head a few biggies come to mind

fvwm now gnome/kde-sawfish way many steps in there

2.0 kernels to 2.2.to 2.4

more configuration tools than you can shake a stick at way cool and
each release brought a few more

lilo to grub

harware drivers out the ying yang that were not in 5.2

usb
zip
cameras
dsl/cable support remember idsn?

very robust installation that continues to improve with each release

linuxconf is gone <flame retardant> good riddence </flame retardant>
I use webin now but it is not included ?

I am sure there are more that are equally important imagine the
enhancements to several major packages like apache postgresql perl
boggles my feeble mind.
