Hi

I have just installed RedHat 8.0 and have gotten everything to work just fine except
for
the networking.

I have a multiple booting system (Win 98, RH 6.2, and RH 8.0). I recently went and
upgraded from a modem to Cable access. I have the Cable mode, wireless router and
Win 98 working just fine and am tackling the RH side. The 6.2 system is a development
system so It will not be connected to the network. I am trying to setup the 8.0
system.

I have a Linksys Wireless Router and matching card (WMP11). The first problem I need
to solve is getting the system to recognize the Wireless Ethernet card. It shows up
on
an "lspci -v". I was told that the driver for the linksys cards was the tulip
driver. The
board shows as "BROADCOM" network controller on the lspci listing. Since there is
only
one entry on the Network configuration for that type I selected it and it did not work.

Anyone already have a linksys router and wireless setup with 8.0? What did you have to
do to get it working?

Best regards.

Tony Preston
