        I noticed that too.  On updates.redhat.com I only found src rpms
for Advanced Server.  I didn't crack open the box with the Red Hat
stuff in it: we received the machine from HP as a loaner for testing.
If it works out well we'll get 2 machines for running ANSYS FEA 
software.  The Itanium version of ANSYS hasn't arrived yet so I
haven't done any serious testing.  From the ANSYS benchmarks I've
seen this machine should rock at floating point.

        Not sure about this.  I'm sure it could be done but
forget about support.  My machine will be an engineering
workstation managed by a sysadmin with plenty of UNIX 
experience but less redhat specific experience than myself.
Even a dated 7.2 environment will be worlds better than
the Windows 2k system I've been forced to use at work ;-).
