I didn't crack open the box with the Red Hat stuff in it: we received the machine from HP as a loaner for testing. If it works out well we'll get 2 machines for running ANSYS FEA software. The Itanium version of ANSYS hasn't arrived yet so I haven't done any serious testing. From the ANSYS benchmarks I've seen this machine should rock at floating point.

My machine will be an engineering workstation managed by a sysadmin with plenty of UNIX experience but less redhat specific experience than myself. Even a dated 7.2 environment will be worlds better than the Windows 2k system I've been forced to use at work ;-). -Mike -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
