Hello all!

I've just upgraded from 7.3 to 8 and now I cannot boot the system. I
have an Adaptec AHA-2940U2W adaptor and when I installed 7.3 I used the
"noprobe" option to manually select the aic7xxx_old as the newer aic7xxx
driver causes the known kernel panics. However, now that I've upgraded
after the aic7xxx_old driver successfully loads and finds my disks the
new aic7xxx driver loads and the kernel panics. What files do I have to
manually modify to keep the aic7xxx driver from loading? Do I have do a
mkinitrd and if so can someone point me to a good howto?

Thanks!

Cheers,
Mike
