Or, register the machine (one machine is free) with Red Hat network. Run '/usr/sbin/rhn_register' (pre Red Hat 8.0, the command has since changed.) One registered, you can use up2date, which will download, and optionally install, requested packages and their dependencies. Also quite usefull for keeping up with package updates. 'man up2date' and 'man rhn_register'for more details. In the example above, running 'up2date -u kdebase XFree86' will download and install the latest available versions (and their dependencies) for the Red Hat release you are running. - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3}|8.0 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE97tggn/07WoAb/SsRAg8cAKC+cONmVajgoNKi/aFbOPLovQromwCfYLHZ TV18P4K6RacClMmB70ww2Sw= =FPo6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
