I had to remove the gateway from the network file.

Sorry for the badly formatted quote. It arrived here like that. ;)

Last line shows a bad "default route" to the host itself. That's
your problem as I have guessed earlier.

Start redhat-config-network and remove the "Default Gateway Address"
in your eth0 profile. Apply and save the changes.

If the gateway address comes back next time your start
redhat-config-network again, use your favourite text editor and edit
/etc/sysconfig/network. Remove the line GATEWAY=192.168.200.254
there, then run "service network restart".
