Hi List,

I went through a document available on the site :-

http://people.unix-fu.org/andreasson/iptables-tutorial/iptables-tutorial.html

I am having a problem in it. In the LOGGING section it is written that if we write a command as :-

Iptables –A FORWARD –p tcp –j LOG –loglevel info

And in the syslog.conf, I add an entry as kern.=info                      /var/log/iptables

Then I should get all messages in this file. Since I didn’t have this file in /var/log/, I manually created it and tried the command but I am not getting the messages in this file. However, I am getting the LOG messages in /var/log/messages.

Please help.

Thanks and Regards,

Amit
