Bruno, open dmesg in /var/log directorie and look at the first line .
Mine is like this :

" Linux version 2.4.19 (root@peterpan) (gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)) #3 Sun Nov 17 16:41:50 GMT 2002 "
