I'd recommend something like GShield which will setup NAT and a certain level of firewalling for you. http://muse.linuxmafia.org/gshield.html Or a GuardDog/GuideDog combo, which from initial impressions does the same thing as GShield in a more user friendly, flexible, GUI oriented fashion.
