Stop using the RedHat stock firewall - it is more trouble than it's worth. Go download Shorewall: http://shorewall.sf.net
READ the docs - use the 'stock' config setup that suits you, and if you have read the docs, and still can't figure it out, write the list. It is a nice package, and my first setup [3 internal computers, 1 firewall, no DMZ] came in a readily canned package which I downloaded from the site. It took about 1/2 hour to setup. [And it eliminated all tweaking with Redhat config files which go ballistic if you change them.] js On Sat, 2002-11-16 at 10:05, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hello, > > How to set the NAT, then Internet Users they don't know the client is > using Private IP address ? > > This is my NAT setting : > > /etc/rc.d/rc.local : > ..... > echo '1' > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward > iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -s 172.2.0.0/24 -j MASQUERADE > ..... > > So, how to modify the config ? > > Thank for your help ! > > Edward. > -- VB programmers ask why no one takes them seriously, it's somewhat akin to a McDonalds manager asking employees why they don't take their 'career' seriously.
