You may recall I mentioned last week that I was having trouble with ipchains dropping connections on redirected ports after 4 minutes of activity.
Well, much searching failed to find anyone else who had experienced the problem, let alone a solution, so I switched from ipchains to the shoreline firewall (using netfilter/iptables) and haven't had a problem since.
